HOW TO ATTEND HBFF 2009

Purchasing HBFF Passes:

The Hollywood Black Film Festival strives to make make the festival better every year, and we hope you enjoy your time here. We have made a conscious effort to make your attendance during this national recession as economical as possible, without sacrificing the quality of the program and services we provide you.  To that end, we have slightly reduced our pass fees from last year.

HBFF Festival Pass - All Inclusive: Includes admittance to Opening and Closing Night Galas, Screenings, Infotainment Conference, and all Festival Parties. Best Value!
Early-bird registration before April 15th: $450
Regular registration April 16th through June 1st: $525
After June 1st, on-site registration: $600

HBFF Infotainment Conference Pass - Includes admittance to Infotainment Conference only.
Early-bird registration before April 15th: $325
Regular registration April 16th through June 1st: $375
After June 1st, on-site registration: $425

One Day Pass - Includes admittance to Infotainment Conference Panels, Screenings and Evening Events for One Day Only. APPLICABLE WEDNESDAY THROUGH SATURDAY ONLY. NOT APPLICABLE TUESDAY & SUNDAY.
Early-bird registration before April 15th: $125
Regular registration April 16th through June 1st: $150
After June 1st, on-site registration: $175

HBFF Screening Pass - Includes admittance to all HBFF Screenings except Opening and Closing Night.
Early-bird registration before April 15th: $150

Infotainment Panels - $30 ea.
Includes admittance to a single Infotainment Panel

Opening Night Gala - $50 pp (Admittance to Opening Night Gala includes After-Party- Tuesday, June 2, 2009)

Closing Night Gala - $50 pp (Admittance to Closing Night Gala including After-Party- Sunday, June 7, 2009)

Discounts: 10% off to Students, Military & Senior Citizens. Please use the following codes in parentheses when finalizing your shopping cart to apply discount: Students (STU), Military (MIL), Senior (SEN).  Your Student, Military or Senior I.D. will be required to pick up your pass during registration.

Cancellation Policy: If you are unable to attend for any reason, please inform us IN WRITING. We must receive your cancellation letter no later than May 1, 2009. There will be a $50 non-refundable processing fee for all cancellations. NO REFUNDS WILL BE GRANTED AFTER MAY 1, 2009. However, you may send a substitute or use the credit towards the 2010 event. NO EXCEPTIONS.

Tax Deduction: Festival expenses may be tax-deductible. Treasury regulation 1.1625 permits an income tax deduction for educational expenses (registration fees, cost of travel, meals, lodging) undertaken to (1) maintain or improve skills required in one's employment, or (2) meet expense requirements of an employer.

Photo Release/Company Release: We occasionally use photographs or company names of HBFF attendees in our promotional materials. By virtue of your attendance, you automatically agree to usage of your likeness in such material.

$12 Adults
$9 Matinees before 4 pm
$9 Children (under 12), Students, Seniors and Military w/ID (you must present your ID when you pick up your tickets)

*Individual screening ticket prices DO NOT include tickets to the opening and closing night gala which are sold separately.
