"The DL Chronicles Featured on the here! Network in May, 2007

The provocative series, written, produced, and directed by Quincy LeNear & Deondray Gossett, focuses on diverse stories of men of color, who by consequence or choice, live sexually duplicitous and secret lifestyles. In recent years, stories of men living on the "down low" have found their way into the mainstream. Real-life situations revealed in public forums -- most notably Oprah -- have filtered into the American landscape.

Rocket Science Wins the Dramatic Directing Prize

HBFF Panelist and Producer Effie T. Brown's film Rocket Science was the winner of the Dramatic Directing Prize at the 2007 Sundance Film Festival.

The film was developed and produced under her production company, Duly Noted Inc. Effie served as lead producer on the film. Congratulations Effie!

 

 

 


 

Jam Donaldson's documentary “Hot Ghetto Mess”screened at the 2006 Hollywood Black Film Festival

2With an average of one million hits per day, her controversial website HotGhettoMess.com has become the true darling of the internet and one of the top African-American owned web sites in the world. Ranking as high as one of the top 10,000 Internet sites by Ranking.com, HotGhettoMess.com bills itself as a call-to-arms to challenge the African-American community to examine how it is living and looking. With over 360 million hits since it was launched in 2004, it is quickly becoming one of the top 100% African-American owned sites in the world.

The site, created by recent Georgetown University Law Center graduate and Washingtonian, Jam Donaldson, features images of the African-American community at its worst. She considers the site constructive criticism, “this site wags a shameful finger at those who bring us all down with their foolishness.”
